Project 1C
Scroomb
Material: Steel Wire
Dimensions: 9" x 2.5" x 0.5"
Date: October 1, 2024
This exoloration required students to take 2-3 utilitarian projects presented by peers and then combine them with our objects to create a hybrid form.
Two utilitarian objects I referenced, in addition to my own, were a comb and a screwdriver. The newly invented hybrid form is called a “Scroomb”, a tool that combines the practical use of a screwdriver, the cutting abilities of scissors, and a grooming feature of a comb. It features a handle made from mirrored comb teeth, a base of a screwdriver that holds the neck of the screwdriver, and blades of scissors. This design allows for a multi-use, practical tool to interact with daily.
